A PLACE TO RETURN

For decades, many Veterans have dreamed of returning to the places where they served, fought, and helped liberate Europe. For some, that opportunity never came. For others, age, health challenges, and financial limitations made the journey increasingly difficult.

Veterans HQ was created to change that.

This historic property will become a place where Veterans can stay free of charge while visiting Normandy, reconnect with the history they helped create, share their stories with future generations, and spend time with fellow Veterans and their families.

THE PROJECT

The Walk Among Heroes Veterans Headquarters is a permanent home being created in Sainte-Mère-Église, Normandy, France — one of the most historically significant locations of World War II.

Located near the D-Day landing beaches and the first French town liberated on June 6, 1944, Veterans HQ will provide Veterans with a place to stay, reconnect with history, and spend time with fellow Veterans and their families.

The property includes a historic Norman estate and future accommodations designed to welcome Veterans of all generations. It will serve as a gathering place for remembrance, education, fellowship, and storytelling.

More than a destination, Veterans HQ is a long-term commitment to preserving the stories of those who served and ensuring that future generations can continue to learn from them.

Through donations, sponsorships, and community support, this vision is becoming a reality in the very place where history was made.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to ensure that the stories, sacrifices, and legacy of Allied Veterans are never forgotten. As the generation that fought and witnessed World War II continues to pass, the opportunity to hear their experiences firsthand becomes increasingly rare. We believe these stories must be preserved, shared, and passed on to future generations.

Veterans HQ exists to create meaningful opportunities for Veterans to return to Normandy, reconnect with the places that shaped history, build lasting friendships, and inspire others through their experiences. By preserving personal stories, honoring service, and educating future generations, we strive to protect the lessons of freedom and ensure that the courage of those who served continues to live on.

Every Veteran has a story. Our mission is to make sure those stories are never lost.
