AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

Preparing the Next Generation to Preserve the Legacy of the Greatest Generation

The Walk Among Heroes Ambassador Program is a selective educational leadership initiative that prepares high school and college students to become stewards of World War II history by learning directly from the men and women who lived it.

Through rigorous historical research, expert mentorship, battlefield study, and personal interaction with World War II veterans, Ambassadors gain a deeper understanding of history than any classroom alone can provide. Before departure, each student researches a veteran, military unit, soldier, or battlefield and develops a battlefield briefing under the guidance of the Walk Among Heroes team. In Normandy, they present that research on the very ground where history unfolded, walking beside veterans while preserving their stories through interviews, reflection, and service.

"THE JOURNEY DOES NOT END WHEN THEY RETURN HOME".

Every Ambassador shares what they have learned through school and community presentations, educational outreach, and contributions to the Walk Among Heroes Legacy Curriculum—a growing collection of student-created research, battlefield briefings, lesson plans, interviews, and educational resources that ensures these firsthand stories continue to educate future generations.

The Ambassador Program develops confident communicators, servant leaders, and responsible citizens while preserving one of history's greatest legacies. Students don't simply study World War II—they become active participants in preserving its history and carrying its lessons forward.

As the generation that saved the world grows smaller, the responsibility to preserve their stories grows greater. Walk Among Heroes is committed to ensuring those stories continue to inspire, educate, and guide future generations through the young leaders who become our Ambassadors.
