Experience an evening dedicated to hearing the stories of our heroes first-hand.  Meet U.S. and British World War II Veterans who landed in Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944.  Hear their stories, and shake their hands.  Also, meet a group of celebrities and local influencers who have dedicated their lives to preserving the history of one of the greatest military missions our world has ever seen.

Date:  Friday, June 2, 2023

Time:  Doors open at 7:30 PM.  On-stage activities begin at 8:00 PM.

​

Location:  Airborne Museum, Sainte-Mere-Eglise (Ronald Reagan Center)

​

VIP Tickets:  A limited number of VIP tickets are available for this event.  VIP tickets include a pre-event reception with the World War II Veterans and celebrities, a special gift, and reserved prime seating for the main event.  

​

100% OF ALL PROCEEDS raised will assist World War II Veterans traveling to Normandy for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day in June 2024.  Total attendance is limited to 100 people, so please reserve your tickets before they sell out.

Evening Guests:

​

Reid Clanton:  World War II Veteran who landed on Omaha Beach with the 29th Division, D-Day, 1944.  Also fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

​

Ray Wallace:  World War II Veteran and part of the 82nd Airborne Division, 507th PIR.  On D-Day, Mr. Wallace's plane was hit, which forced him to jump earlier than anticipated.  He landed 20 miles from his objective and was captured by the Germans.

​

James Kelly:  Mr. Kelly was one of the first Allied soldiers to land in France, landing just after midnight on D-Day, June 6, 1944.  He landed in a glider in Ranville, along the Eastern flank of the invasion front, with a mission to secure the flank from German counterattack.  After the Normandy battles, Mr. Kelly's battalion fought in the Battle of the Bulge in late 1944 and then the Rhine Crossings....and on into Germany.

 

Gilbert Clarke:  Born in Jamaica, Gilbert volunteered for the RAF and served on a ground crew maintaining and servicing British planes at various airfields in the United Kingdom.  Without Gilbert, many of the famous World War II missions would not have been possible. 

​

Maurice Renaud:  President, AVA Association, who oversees D-Day activities.  Also the son of Alexandre Renaud, mayor of Sainte-Mere-Eglise on D-Day, June 6, 1944.  Maurice was a child on D-Day, and has dedicated his life to preserving the legacy of the most important mission in military history.

​

Peter Youngblood Hills:  Actor.  Played Sergeant Darrell 'Shifty' Powers in the award-winning Band of Brothers Series.

​

Scott Gibson:  Actor, Pacific series and military historian.

​

Matt Leitch:  Actor.  Played Floyd Talbert in the award-winning Band of Brothers series.

​

Peter McCabe:  Actor.  Played Donald Hoobler in the award-winning Band of Brothers series.

​

Nolan Hemmings:  Actor.  Played Chuck Grant in the award-winning Band of Brothers series.

​

Alex Sabga-Brady.  Actor.  Played Francis Mellet in the award-winning Band of Brothers series.

​

​

This event will be moderated by U.S. Army Captain, Jeff Wells, a combat Veteran of the war in Iraq and president of WISH for OUR HEROES, Inc, a foundation dedicated to assisting military and Veteran families struggling with basic needs.

​

​

Evening Schedule:​

 

6:00 PM:  VIP Reception with our World War II Veterans and celebrity guests.

​

7:30 PM:  Doors open at the Airborne Museum.

​

8:00 PM:  Night for Our Heroes

​

9:30 PM:  Private Movie Screening, 'Mother of Normandy'
